The Canal Sessions is a project by producer Maarten Besseling and music journalist Matthijs van der Ven. Both of us live in Utrecht, The Netherlands and decided to set up this new project, next to our other projects, In A Cabin With and Onder Invloed.

We invite musicians - who're coming from all over the world to play in Utrecht - to go on a boat with us and drive around the canals of our beautiful city where we'll show them the sights and record songs in this unique setting. There will be a new session online every month.
